Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is pushing to strike terms for PSG midfielder Lucas Moura.

PSG are under pressure to raise some funds in the January transfer window as they bid to comply with financial fair play rules following their £200 million summer splurge on Neymar, per Sport (via Hamish Mackay in the Mirror). However, out of all of the sides to have shown interest, United are the only one he has serious interest in.

But it is with the player and his agent that things are more complicated.

Nantes president Waldemar Kita reveals that Paris Saint-Germain have given the club the go-ahead to move for Lucas Moura.

Mourinho has previously stated his intentions to bring in a wide-man to the club and the former Sao Paolo man meets this category of players.

Both are contracted to the Paris outfit until the summer of 2019 so there is no danger they will leave for free at the end of the season.

The Portuguese manager is reportedly interested in signing Malcom from Bordeaux but wishes to loan him back to the club to continue his wonderful season.

A potential swap deal involving Joao Mario and Pastore could raise its head once again over the next few weeks, but Inter have already made it clear that they do not want to sell the Portugal international, and the French giants would prefer for Lassana Diarra to be Thiago Motta's backup.

This year things have been a lot harder, the 25-year-old failing to start a single league game.
